Karnagyunk, Ludmány Géza a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Főiskola után a Kossuth Lajos Tudományegyetemen szerzett pedagógusdiplomát, majd elvégezte a Népművelési Intézet felsőfokú kórusvezetői tanfolyamát.
1973-1985-ig a püspökladányi Zeneiskola, 1975-től a Karacs Ferenc Gimnázium tanára is volt. Vezette a Sárréti Népi Együttest és a püspökladányi ÁFÉSZ Vegyeskart.
1985 óta lakik Kaposváron. Először a Liszt Ferenc Zeneiskolában tanított szolfézst és gordonkát. 1986-tól a Tanítóképző Főiskolán szolfézs, karvezetés, népzene és kamarazene tárgyakat tanít főiskolai docensként. 1986-tól a Kaposvári Szimfonikus Zenekar csellistája, a Cantus Pannonicus Vegyeskar karnagya. 1998-tól fő szervezője a „Kortárs szerzői estek”-nek. Közéleti tevékenységéért „Főiskolai Díj” odaítélésével jutalmazták.
2000-től átvette a Vikár Béla Vegyeskar vezetését, szakmai irányítása mellett a kórus 2003-ban Hangversenykórus Cum Laude, majd 2006-ban Versenykórus Ars Magna minősítést szerzett. Kimagasló eredményeiért 2007-ben a Magyar Köztársaság Ezüst Érdemkeresztjével tüntették ki. 2010-ben a kortárs magyar zeneművek kiemelkedő oktatásáért az Artisjus-díjjal ismerték el munkáját.
Our conductor, Géza Ludmány, after the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, obtained his teacher degree at the Lajos Kossuth University and than at the Institution of Adult Education he accomplished a higher course of choirmaster. He has been playing the cello and singing in choirs since childhood, as a college student he was among the founders of the „Délibáb” folk group, later on he led the „Sárréti” Folk Group. Afterwards he became the conductor of the youth and mixed choirs of the town Püspökladány. He’s been living in Kaposvár since 1985. At first he taught music and cello in the Ferenc Liszt Music School. Since 1986 he’s been teaching music, chorus leading, folk music and chamber music as college associate professor. He has been a cellist of the Symphony Orchestra of Kaposvár and conductor of the Cantus Pannonicus Mixed Choir since 1986. He is the main organizer of the Contemporary Composers’s Festival that was started in 1998. For his public activity he was rewarded with the „College Award”. He assumed the leadership of the Béla Vikár Mixed Choir in 2000. With his professional conduction the choir won the Concert Choir Cum Laude title in 2003 and in 2006 the Concert Choir Ars Magna title. His outstanding achievement were acknowledged with a silver cross by the Hungarian Republic in 2007.
